AGROFORESTRY TO FOOD
Agroforestry is to help transform the countryside towards a regenerative food production system, promotes biodiversity, water cultivation, human and ecosystem health. Its design mimics jungles and tropical forests, producing food and resources all year round.
The goal is to agroforest more than 100 agricultural hectares of the Network of Regenerative Producers of the Valley of Mexico by 2024.
REGENERATION OF XOCHIMILCO
The agroforestry that will be carried out will be based on species that generated the Mesoamerican diet, which are endemic and are more resistant to climate change.
Species: Corn-Beans-Pumpkin-Chiles-Tomatoes-Nopales-Agaves-Parota Tree-Chan Plant-Plums-Cimarrona Grape (Vitis tiliifolia)-Tamale Tree Leaf (Oreapanax peltatus)
